A traditionally and Indie published romance author under the name Denise Eagan, D.L Eagan took the plunge into Science Fiction 20 years into her writing career. After reading several wonderful YA dystopian novels, she decided to delve into an under-represented category: adult dystopian fiction with female protagonists. Although a fan of classics 1984 and Brave New World, D. L. Eagan, grew up with Star Wars, and an action/adventure novel with a Princess Leah type heroine called more than strongly thematic writing.
The PostPlague Trilogy was the result. It touches upon some of Eagan’s “hot buttons” such as the political football that was Ebola in 2014, fear of and fascination with religious-based governments, Myers-Briggs testing, and sociopathic but charming, autocratic leaders. The first book in the trilogy, The Liars started with the question, What if the only person who could take down the brutal dystopian tyrant is the woman who is married to him?
